First part of the journey was a long the Danube. A lot of barge traffic on the river. The width of the river is impressive. The second half of the day started to be older towns on the other side of the river with a more European feel. With some castles in the hillside. Must also be the part cruise ships really like as you can see two floating around. Durenstein was packed with visitors so it was got tangled up with cruise visitors when I was there.When I looked at the forecast in December average high was around 70. Today and through when I arrive in Passau it will be a high of 60. The day after it will be starting be in the low 70’s again. And it doesn’t rain much. Need one more day of rain to get my normal half of days on bike tour it rains. For the Danube Delta tour the suggested a hard shell rain jacket as it gets colder there. Didn’t relish carring it round on my bike part of the trip. Slept wearing it so glad I did have it with me.
